Digital Course and Program Participation Agreement

This Digital Course & Program Participation Agreement (“Agreement”) applies to all digital courses, workshops, trainings, memberships, and program materials (“Course”) offered by Joie, LLC (“Provider”). By enrolling in or accessing the Course, the Participant (“Participant”) agrees to the terms below.

  1. Non-Clinical Nature of the Course. The Course is intended for educational, personal development, and spiritual guidance purposes only. It is not therapy, counseling, medical advice, or a substitute for licensed mental health care. Participation does not create a therapeutic, clinical, or coaching relationship beyond the scope of the Course.
  2. Participant Responsibilities. Participant agrees to:
  • Take full responsibility for their emotional wellbeing, participation, and interpretation of Course content.
  • Engage respectfully with the Provider and other participants.
  • Refrain from offering unsolicited advice or attempting to coach others.
  • Avoid promoting or selling services or products to participants.
  • Seek licensed support if navigating mental health concerns or crisis situations.

      3. Privacy, Sharing and Confidentiality.

3.1. Not a confidential space. Course interactions, group calls, community forums, and chat features are not confidential environments and are not protected by HIPAA or therapist-client privilege.

3.2. Respect for others. Participant agrees not to screenshot, record, distribute, or share any content involving other participants.

3.3. What Participant shares is voluntary. Participant is responsible for the information they choose to disclose and should not share sensitive personal information.

      4. Intellectual Property. All Course content—including videos, audios, PDFs, worksheets, writings, branding, and methodologies—is the exclusive intellectual property of Provider.

Participant receives a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use materials for their own learning only and agrees not to:

  • Copy, reproduce, or repost Course materials
  • Share login credentials
  • Teach, adapt, distribute, or use the materials commercially.

Violation may result in account termination and/or legal action.

     5. Payments, Refunds, and Access

  • Payment is due at enrollment.
  • All sales are final unless the Course sales page states otherwise.
  • Provider may revoke access for conduct violations or misuse of content.
  • Course content and access periods may change as platforms or materials are updated.

     6. Technology Requirements. Participant is responsible for maintaining the technical ability to access the Course (internet connection, devices, updated software). Provider is not responsible for technical issues on Participant’s end.

     7. No Guarantees. Provider does not guarantee specific outcomes or results. Testimonials shared in the Course or on Provider’s website represent individual experiences only and do not guarantee similar outcomes.

     8. Crisis and Safety Boundaries. The Course does not offer crisis intervention, emergency response, or therapeutic support. If Participant experiences emotional distress, trauma activation, or safety concerns, they agree to immediately contact emergency services or a licensed professional.

     9. Course-to-Coaching Boundaries. Participating in a Course does not create eligibility or entitlement to private coaching. If Participant wishes to apply for 1:1 coaching, a separate process and agreement is required, and acceptance is not guaranteed.

     10. Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Participant understands and agrees that Provider is not liable for any emotional, psychological, or practical consequences arising from participation in the Course, nor for any decisions or actions Participant takes based on Course content or discussions. Provider does not guarantee specific outcomes and is not responsible for the conduct or statements of other participants in group environments. Provider’s total liability for any claim connected to the Course, regardless of theory or cause of action, is strictly limited to the amount Participant paid for enrollment, and Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

     11. Termination. Provider may remove Participant from the Course for violating this Agreement or community guidelines. Removal does not entitle Participant to a refund unless required by law.

     12. Governing Law. This Agreement is governed by the laws of Delaware.

     13. Acceptance. By enrolling in the Course, Participant confirms they have read, understood, and agree to this Agreement.
